Although I adore Seoul, I like to still get away from the city every so often. The area around Pangyo Station was one of my recent getaway to visit a friend who lives in the area. Our exploration took us to the Pangyo Station branch of Ronnefeldt Tee Haus, an upscale tea house. This place is about three minutes away from station.
My initial impression of the place was that I loved its interior decoration. The wooden interior and furnitures gave it a cosy feel. The decoration on the wall, with all the tea containers, caught my eyes. I love how they colour coordinated the tea boxes to show the rainbow spectrum. The interior design appealed to me a lot.
Along with its great interior, this tea house had a nice ambience. When we were there, there wasn’t a lot of people because we’d come here on a holiday weekend. So we relaxed and talked while we perused the menu, chose our drinks, and then enjoyed them while we took some photos.
With them being a tea house, it’s to be expected they’d have a lot of tea-based drinks. They have black teas, herbal teas, oolong teas, green teas, fruit teas, and milk teas, along with tea-specialty items like tea ades, sorberts, and bingsoo. They also sell coffee-based drinks like espresso, Americano, lattes, and et cetera. For those wanting desserts, they have a selection of macarons, cakes, eclairs, and scones.
My friend and I ordered their Vital Peach Ade (7,000 won) and Iced Chai Latte (9,300). I admit that their chai latte was a bit pricey, and it’s not a price I’m willing to pay often, but their chai latte was super flavourful. I could taste the spices in the chai latte, which isn’t something I’d encountered before when I tried other places’ chai latte! I enjoyed my drink, despite feeling guilty over the price.
Overall, Ronnefeldt Tee Haus turned out to be a good experience. The place is a bit out of my price range, but I wouldn’t mind coming back here if I wanted to splurge and indulge myself. Otherwise, it is not a place I’d come often. Still, though, this is a place I’d recommend coming at least once.
